Acknowledgement to the Parents & Carers

Dear Resident

After nearly 7 long weeks of hearing "I'm bored", finding empty snack wrappers around the house, acting as a taxi service, referee, chef, entertainer, and somehow still going to work... you've made it! 🎉👏

As many children head back to school this week, we'd like to offer a huge congratulations to the real heroes of the summer holidays... the parents & carers! 🏆

Now that schools are back, our communities once again be seeing larger groups of young people gathering in local shops and around bus stops.
👉 Parents, please take a few minutes to give your children the traditional "back to school pep talk": 
✅ Be respectful
✅ Be considerate of others
✅ Keep noise to a minimum & no littering!
✅ Stay out of trouble
✅ Remember that school uniform doesn't make you invisible!

Let's start the new school year the right way and keep our communities welcoming for everyone.

Our officers will be out and about during school travel times and "school kick-out" times, engaging with young people and helping to tackle any anti-social behaviour. Where necessary, we won't hesitate to take appropriate action, including issuing ASB warnings and orders.

We'd much rather be handing out smiles than paperwork, so let's all work together to make this a positive start to the school year. 

Good luck to all students returning to school, those that start at their new school... and to the parents who can finally enjoy a little relaxation time.
